The draw sequence defines the decision
A standard single-hand game begins with a wager and five cards dealt from a 52-card deck. The player may hold any number from zero to five. After the initial five cards are visible, 47 cards remain unseen. That denominator matters. Players often identify a variant by the payout for a full house and flush. Paytables must be read at the wager level actually selected. Traditional machines may add a disproportionate royal-flush award at maximum coin. A schedule might pay 250 coins per coin wagered for a royal at one through four coins, but 4,000 coins for a five-coin wager. The best-looking current hand is not always the best hold. Progressive, multiplier and feature variants add another layer. A progressive royal can change the optimal strategy only after the meter reaches a level where the extra prize changes expected values. A multiplier may require an additional wager. The correct question is not whether a feature looks generous, but whether its added return exceeds its added cost under the published rules.
