The service relies on the bank's own authentication and security controls. Trustly says bank credentials are not exposed to the merchant and that the connection is encrypted. Coverage still depends on the customer's country, bank, account type and the specific merchant integration, so the presence of Trustly at one cashier does not establish availability for every account.
Trustly also supports payouts in integrations where the merchant enables them. That makes the payment method different from a deposit-only prepaid product, but deposit capability and withdrawal capability should still be treated separately. A casino can impose its own account verification, minimums, limits or withdrawal sequencing even when the underlying bank connection is available.
The bank authorization, Trustly payment status and casino ledger entry are separate records. A successful bank approval shows that the payment instruction was accepted; the operator still has to reconcile the transfer to the correct casino account before the balance or withdrawal status changes.
