Mental fatigue can reduce attention and alter risk decisions, but research does not support a simple rule that every tired person becomes more aggressive or more cautious. Hard stops end the session regardless of results. Soft stops trigger a reassessment, such as one close strategy error or mild distraction. Do not increase the limit because the session is losing or because a royal flush “feels due.”
