NYX Gaming Group is best treated as a historical gaming-technology company rather than a current independent supplier. Scientific Games completed its acquisition of NYX in January 2018, bringing NYX’s digital gaming, sports-betting technology and content operations into the larger Scientific Games business. The transaction ended the period in which NYX Gaming Group operated as a separately listed company with its own corporate identity.

Before the acquisition, NYX had built a broad B2B position through casino content, aggregation and platform technology. Its Open Gaming System was used to distribute games from multiple studios, which means the NYX name could appear in an operator’s technical or content chain without NYX having developed every title delivered through that system. Older casino libraries can therefore contain NYX, NYX Interactive or related studio credits that reflect the structure used at the time.

The important current distinction is ownership and status. A legacy NYX-branded game may still be encountered in older catalogues, but the company itself should not be presented as an unchanged standalone provider in 2026. Current corporate activity belongs to the businesses that absorbed and succeeded the former NYX operations, while game-specific RTP, rules and certification remain attached to each individual release.
