Industry veterans Andrew Porter, Chris Ash and Henry McLean established UK-based 4ThePlayer in 2018. It began releasing games in 2019 and has built a portfolio of online slots and other casino formats, with titles such as 4 Fantastic Lobsters, 4TP Pigs N' Pots and 5 Flaming Dollars among its current catalogue.

The studio has used distribution partnerships including Relax Gaming, Gaming Realms and Yggdrasil's Masters programme, so the technical route from developer to casino can differ by operator. 4ThePlayer also holds supplier permissions in regulated markets, including a UK Gambling Commission account, but those permissions apply to the software business rather than to the casino account in which a game is offered.
