The Czech koruna is the currency of the Czech Republic, identified by the code CZK and commonly written with the symbol Kč. The Czech National Bank has the exclusive right to issue Czech banknotes and coins. Current banknotes are 100, 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000 and 5,000 koruna; older 20- and 50-koruna notes have ceased to be legal tender and were replaced in everyday circulation by coins.
CZK remains separate from the euro, so a koruna-denominated online account records balances and stakes in Czech currency rather than EUR.
