Argentine peso Casinos 2026

Since 1 January 1992, the Argentine peso has been Argentina’s monetary unit under the code ARS, replacing the austral at 10,000 australes to one peso. Banco Central de la República Argentina issues the country’s legal-tender notes and coins. Inflation has driven important changes in the denomination mix: the central bank introduced a 10,000-peso note in May 2024 and a 20,000-peso note in November 2024 while older denominations continued to circulate. Those additions reflect practical cash needs rather than a change of currency. ARS remains the accounting unit for Argentine prices and bank balances, while conversion into or out of other currencies follows the exchange and settlement arrangements used by the relevant financial institution.
