A progressive jackpot can make an ordinary game look unusually attractive because part of each wager feeds a visible prize pool. Progressive jackpots suit players who accept long stretches without the headline award and who can stop at a preset loss or reset. The jackpot may be large; the bankroll still faces every ordinary losing outcome first.
A further control is to compare the jackpot session with a non-progressive alternative at the same budget. If the non-progressive game offers a higher base return and lower volatility, the progressive choice is effectively buying a very small chance at the headline prize. Before leaving the game, record the ending meter and total amount wagered. That creates a factual session record and prevents the next visit from being evaluated through memory alone.
